Stephanos Karaiskakis

Stephanos has significant experience and advises on a broad range of matters involving foreign investment, real estate, leasing, company law, mergers & acquisitions, tax law and tax planning, commercial contracts, franchising, distribution & agency agreements and competition law. He represents a large number of major foreign and local corporate clients in relation to ventures and investments in Greece as well as with regards to having Greece as a base for their international entrepreneurial networks.

Stephanos is one of the founding partners of the firm. Prior to the establishment of the firm he was a senior partner of V&P Law since 1990. Before 1990, Stephanos worked at high profile Greek law offices as well as a legal counselor in the legal department of “Shell Company Hellas Ltd.” for a number of years.

Stephanos is a co-author of the Greek Chapter of A Practitioner’s Guide to the Acquisition of Private Companies in the European Union, City and Financial Publishing and the Chapter on Greece in Property in Europe-Law and Practice, Butterworths. He has also contributed to an article in Tax Laws for Greek Property, International Tax Review.

Stephanos has been a member of the Athens Bar since 1984. He obtained his law degree from the Law School of the University of Athens and a master of philosophy in Criminology from Darwin College, University of Cambridge. Stephanos is fluent in Greek, English and French and has a fair command of Italian and Russian.
